Alright, so I am jumping on the wagon here and also declaring on my soapbox that I cannot wait for the next installment of the Sookie Series.
Charlaine Harris will take the stage again for me with the next book: Dead Reckoning. What I love about this series is that in a way it keeps on getting better. There are never too many characters introduced in each book, and there is a nice level of new characters and old getting offed so there are not too many people to get attached to.
This series is always fun to read and I have been happy and satisfied with each book in this long running series. In May Dead Reckoning will hit shelves and I will be sure to wake up early and be waiting at the door to my local bookseller (which so happens to be conviently next to a Starbucks so it will probably be the best morning in all of May. Ohhh I cannot wait!
Here is the Goodreads blurb:
"With her knack for being in trouble's way, Sookie witnesses the firebombing of Merlotte's, the bar where she works. Since Sam Merlotte is now known to be two-natured, suspicion falls immediately on the anti-shifters in the area. But Sookie suspects otherwise and she and Sam work together to uncover the culprit - and the twisted motive for the attack. But her attention is divided. Though she can't 'read' vampires, Sookie knows her lover Eric Northman and his 'child' Pam well - and she realises that they are plotting to kill the vampire who is now their master. Gradually, she is drawn into the plot -which is much more complicated than she knows. Caught up in the politics of the vampire world, Sookie will learn that she is as much of a pawn as any ordinary human - and that there is a new Queen on the board . . . "
Where we can all share good books that we are looking forward to reading.
