Blameless by Gail Carriger
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Blameless was the third in the Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger. This series has been so much fun from the start. There are great characters, there is great trouble happening, along with social blunders, snarky english phrases, and a lot of tea.
This installment in the series was a great read.
Reading this series always takes me a little more though in the quippy remarks to really appreciate their magnificence. There were some truly dashing phrases in the book that gave me huge smiles and a few chuckles. I love the writing styles and the flow of these books. They are so much fun to read and by the end you feel good and cannot wait for more. There is always a lot going on, but most of it gets resolved and some carries over to the next book very well. I enjoy also that there is not a lot of past book explaining and they all flow very well one after the other.
Blameless was so very much fun to read. The adventures were adventurous. The fighting was nice and wholesome (hehehe) there were some blazing airborne bloomers, not quite up to bar tea services, a series of tunnels, and poor hostesses ( in the adversary sorts).
