Kelley Armstrong
Releases 7.24.2013
Penguin/Dutton

This is the end readers. For all of these years we have seen the trials and tribulations, the fight and the strife of these characters as they have entwined with our lives all of the years, but Thirteen casts the end to the Women of the Underworld's reign.
I have enjoyed this series and have my own times of tears and fears but the culmination is upon us in one week.

Teaser:

     Dear Kris,
Heaven and hell are being torn asunder as angels and demons battle themselves and each other. In the living world, supernaturals continue to barrel toward a war between those who want to reveal themselves to humans and those who know such a revelation will destroy all we hold dear. The veil between the realms grows thinner with each passing moment as we plummet toward catastrophe.
Hope all is well with you.
     Hugs and kisses,
     Eve   -2 ARC

"You've been busy." Sean walked toward his grandfather. "The supernatural world is going to hell. Demonic spirits are breaking through everywhere. A hell-beast materialized in the New York subway. Supernaturals are racking up body counts faster than the demons and hell-beasts combined. Of Course you're too busy to check on Bryce. Yet somehow, with all this, you've decided you can take a break to put my sister on trial for treason." -201 ARC

Our Thoughts On:

There are no spoilers here, but let us just say... be ready for not only a good series hangover, but also to NOT WANT TO PUT THIS DOWN.
The war is raging and there will be few survivors. With epic plot and dynamic interactions and powerful characters, Thirteen is unstoppable. This book carries a powerhouse of well rounded end to a long running series as old favorite characters join forces with new characters to end this fight for good.
Kelley Armstrong slams readers into the action right off, so this is not a read to have picked up without really reading the previous books in the series. Savannah has grown into her heroine status in the series and as she rally's forces to fight, she turns the tide into becoming something admirable. There is so much carryover buildup from the previous books that you are swept into a tidal wave of war that will make or break Savannah and her friends.
Well written and a fabulous finish, Thirteen is the finale that readers have been waiting for. There is something for everyone here.
