My Review:
Only Witches go to dance in the Dragonswood, the land of fey and dragons.

Dragonswood is an amazing release by author Janet Lee Carey that will Dazzle the reader with a mystical world filled with wonder, and hunters.

There is a witch hunt happening, and neighbor turn against neighbor as the times are harder and food is leaner. With the death of a king, and a prince scouring the lands for stolen royal jewels and treasure lost, a kindgom is falling apart and while the knights hunt witches, the cause of the witch hunt is known to only a few.

Wilde Island has secrets and barriers that not everyone can cross, but for many years Tess has felt the draw of the Dragonswood. Scaling the wall that is a barrier from the fey and the normal man, Tess has been breaking more than the law, she has also left herself exposed to the very community that is pointing fingers at its trouble. When the last breath of her youngest brother draws Tess from the beating hands of her Blacksmith father, Tess runs into the Dragonswood to hide among the trees and draw all manner of creatures seen by her. But this trip may be her last as the village midwife accuses Tess of witchcraft and sets in motion a hidden history and a future prophecy.

Dragonswood is a fantastical tale of romance, and adventure. With rich fantasy elements it will take readers in a world of dragons and fey mixed with princes and driven ladies.

Janet Lee Carey pulls the reader in with the main character Tess and her troubles and we follow along as she tries to do right by her faults, and yet also becomes a strong willed woman of power.

Tess is a strong female character that can remember her wrongs and take them to new heights to do right by them, while at the same time falling in love and striving to save not only her kingdom, but also that of the sacred land of magical entities.

Love action, adventure, dragons and a little love, then Dragonswood will roll in the New Year with its fabulous release.

Book Description:
Wilde Island is in an uproar after the recent death of its king. The uneasy pact between dragons, fairies, and humans is fraying, and a bloodthirsty witch hunter with a hidden agenda whips villages into frenzies with wild accusations. Tess, a blacksmith’s daughter from a tiny hamlet near the mysterious Dragonswood, finds herself caught in the crosshairs of fate when she is accused of witchery and has to flee for her life along with her two best friends.
Not even Tess’s power to see the future can help the girls as they set off on their desperate journey, but she keeps having visions of a man wielding a sword. And when she finally meets him, Tess has no idea how to handle the magnetic attraction she feels for him, or the elusive call she hears from the heart of the Dragonswood.
In this epic romance, an ancient prophecy comes true in a way neither dragon, fairy, nor human would have predicted.
