My Review:
What if it was all about choice.
If you found a secret buried so deep and filled with destruction, would you choose to follow it? Or leave it buried.
How do you define live, how do you measure the love of the one you are with, how do you know it to he true?
At what cost do you fight to sustain that love. At what price will you sacrifice your friends.
When Nora, a high school student, looses her brother in a car accident and moves to a new town recreating herself, she falls into a whole new world.
Deciphering an ancient manuscript and translating the letters of a long deceased girl named Elizabeth, Nora finds herself caught in the middle of an ancient myth and a vey real sight of death.
The Book of Blood and Shadow will capture the reader in Nota's story as Nora is tossed into and ancient battle and begins to loose everything she once so held dear.
What choices will we make when we face a great evil and are tested beyond ourselves. Nora's story is all about choices and all about faith in one another and what happens when that all goes array.
This story is so well written that the historical letters of Elizabeth flow seamlessly through the present day plot and the rich description takes the reader across the world and also across time. I loved the flow of the story and all of the game changers inherit in it. Robin has created another sound beautiful tale that's will surprise readers as well as leave them feeling fulfilled with this story.

Book Blurb:

It was like a nightmare, but there was no waking up.  When the night began, Nora had two best friends and an embarrassingly storybook one true love.  When it ended, she had nothing but blood on her hands and an echoing scream that stopped only when the tranquilizers pierced her veins and left her in the merciful dark.
But the next morning, it was all still true: Chris was dead.  His girlfriend Adriane, Nora's best friend, was catatonic. And Max, Nora's sweet, smart, soft-spoken Prince Charming, was gone. He was also—according to the police, according to her parents, according to everyone—a murderer.
