SCARLET!!!

On How I Overtook The Kids and Read Scarlet First

Last year when Marissa Meyer broke out with Cinder, it was like this pitter patter in my heart, because here was a cyborg Cinderella story (it was like every girl's dream!). With machines and pining Cinder captivated our hearts and was the TBR book throughout our house of 5 girls.

We have been highly anticipating the release of The Lunar Chronicles second book Cinder for months and months. Hearing about all of the awesomeness was killing us, but I can proudly say I shoved past the teens(tweens) first and grabbed the preorder from the mailbox first after school, and here are our thoughts on Scarlet.

Our Thoughts On:

When isn't the Lunar Queen out to take over the Commonwealth and Earth, but this time she has a pack of trained mercenaries that no one ever expected.
When we return to the world where Cinder Linh we find Cinder imprisoned, but with some new cyborg enhancements smuggled in for her. With her insulin escape she joins forces with a snarky prisoner full of hilarious dialog and worldly observations that will keep readers in humor and page turning. Cinder and Carswell Thorne, her new accomplice, get ahold of a stolen military ship and set out to save themselves and solve the mysteries of Cinder's past before getting caught or before Emperor Kai does something drastic. Hearing details from her youth, Cinder realizes that retired pilot Michelle  Benoit may hold more secrets of her past.
Scarlet Benoit works on her grandmother's farm in France, but Scarlet is worried because not only has her grandmother gone missing but the authorities have stopped trying to find her. When Scarlet begins her journey to find out the truth of what is happening with her grandmother, unraveling a series of events that ties Scarlet to Cinder, a war will break out and the death toll with rise as Luna and Earth reach a breaking point in diplomatic relations and it is up to Cinder and Scarlet to save the world.
Queen Levana strikes again creating mutants and setting them upon the populous on Earth, but not all the slavering beasts have lost their humanity when Scarlet rescues Wolf from himself and his ties to his Pack. Meyer brings in a new broken hero with Wolf and his relationship with Scarlet that tie in well with the Lunar Chronicles creating a whole new cast that will intrigue and delight readers keeping them at the edge of their page until the last turn.
Be ready for action and adventure with the scent if romance in the air tinged with jet fuel and dungeons with Scarlet by Marissa Meyer, tye new fantastic addition to the Lunar Chronicles series that caught us by surprise with the first book Cinder. What happens when your classic fairytales get not only a new twist, but also a dystopian finish, cyborgs, mutations and old family secrets? you get the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer, your classic fairy tale has never been so proactive and opinionated.
