Blurb from the Publisher:

Vampires live only for lust and pleasure in the eternal twilight of Vamp City. But the city’s magic is dying. The only person who can restore it? A beautiful woman from the mortal world...one who knows nothing of the power she wields.
Quinn Lennox is searching for a missing friend when she stumbles into a dark otherworld that only she can see—and finds herself at the mercy of Arturo Mazza, a dangerously handsome vampire whose wicked kiss will save her, enslave her, bewitch her, and betray her.
What Arturo can’t do is forget about her—any more than Quinn can control her own feelings for him. Neither one can let desire get in the way of their mission—his to save his people, hers to save herself.

Our Thoughts On A Blood Seduction:

In a slant of light not far from present day Washington DC there is another city, a dark predatory city where vampires own the night and there magic is soon failing. A Blood Seduction tells the dark tale of a historical city at the edge of merging with our own reality filled with terror and hungry mouths waiting to use us like property. The only think in their path, but also in their destruction is the humans that hold the magic to save them, or imprison them forever.

Quinn Lennox lives in the real DC working in a blood lab where she soon realizes that inside of her own body is something different from everyone else, and all that stuff she keeps seeing happening really is. Quinn has always known that she was a little off from everyone, but when Quinn starts to realize that there is something to the shadows she sees through slants of light and shadow, that shadowy word will soon absorb her.

People are going missing all over the cities, but as the missing persons hit close to home in her brother’s girlfriend, Quinn finds not only herself but also her brother dropped right into another world called VC. Vampire City, or VC, is an alternative reality to our present DC. Built up from a time of early history in the creation of the capitol, VC follows historical roads and winding cobblestones to huge mansions that house the leading Vampires in the city. Fueled by magic VC is starting to dissolve and merge with our world causing the missing humans to be sent into VC and turned into blood slaves to the VC vampires. With wicked appetites and deadly pleasures, Quinn soon finds herself in layers of Hell when trying to find and save her brother she winds up attraction the attention of leading vampires out for blood and magic. Quinn’s special blood may be the very things that saves her or damns her in a city of eternal night, and while struggling to survive the horrors of the citizens of VC she is also trying to save her brother and other captives.

Overtaken by a vampire named Arturo Mazza just after she arrives in the city Quinn realizes that in a land of terrors where humans are no more than blood cattle that her blood may be the very thing this city needs to survive and the stakes are high. Arturo is a frightening and compassionate vampire who is filled with deceit and betrayal by also has a budding attraction to Quinn. When his maker wants Quinn’s talents under his own roof, will Arturo turn Quinn over to a violent leader, or keep her for himself. Nothing is as it seems in this world of death and dark that plays by rules only immortals can justify.

Pamela Palmer had turned vampires into the dark hunting overlords they truly aim to be in A Blood Seduction, distilling these fearsome foes into something disturbing and alluring to readers. With an amazing array of world building and rich characters, Palmer has transformed vampires back into creatures of the night and humans into their cunning but crafty prey. As our heroine finds herself betrayed, exchanged and yet filled with perseverance she moves past being a victim and into being dangerous commodity. Just a few steps from a horror story, A Blood Seduction will haunt readers and give them a chilling glimpse into a world just a certain slant of light away from our own. With an attention to detail, Palmer has created a new series filled with sorcery, deception and lust carried in a wave of paranormal creatures coinciding in a world just next to our, but so much darker.

*received a copy of this book through edelweiss and the publishers on the amazing internet.  An honest review was typed out by me with at least three cups of coffee in my system and I hope all errors were auto-corrected or fixed by flying monkeys in residence.
