My Review:
From a classic tale comes a new rendition of everlasting love and the trials to keep it.
Mette Ivie Harrison brings us into the world of elementals, witches, magic, and alternate worlds with the debut release of Tris and Izzie.

We being the book with our heroine Izzie who believes she carries no magic of her own, but has a magic rich past filled with the sorrow of loosing her father and the trials of living with her paramedic witch mother.
Izzie's life will take huge turn when she tries to sneak a love potion to her friend Brenna and the new boy at school Tristan.
That love portion opens up a whole new world of possibilities when Izzie's own latent magic surfaces as well as an ancient enemy that has been hunting her family since her father's death.
With everything that Izzie has been learning about her sat and her destiny, should she use to protect with her magic, will it be enough to save her love, her world and everyone in between?
Can these characters fight evil and win for themselves and their friends and family? Can Izzie unlock her hidden past from her memories in time to save her love?

The elements that I lived in Tris and Izzie was that the characters were able to overcome their differences and to find out a rich past and grow a future for themselves.
Izzie was a great character. She took all of her advancements in stride and had a great voice in the story. Her mom was a great strong supporting character, and her group of friends gave some good dialog.
I cannot wait to see what comes from this author next.

Book Blurb:
A modern retelling of the German fairytale "Tristan and Isolde", Tris and Izzie is about a young witch named Izzie who is dating Mark King, the captain of the basketball team and thinks her life is going swimmingly well. Until -- she makes a love potion for her best friend Brangane and then ends up taking it herself accidentally, and falling in love with Tristan, the new guy at school
