Teaser Tuesday(13)

This Tuesday, I bring to you Rot & Ruin by Jonathan Maberry

Did you just turn fifteen? Do you want to eat? Do you need a job? Well you better find one fast because in this futuristic zombie dystopian apocalyptic tale you need to work to eat by fifteen and all your friends are trying to get those easy jobs faster then you.
In a small town surrounded by a fence keeping out hordes of the undead who want a tasty live snack, keeping the peace or pieces of your town, family, fence, future together is pretty hard.
Benny dreams of violent zombie killing heroes that roam his town, and he trades their picture cards, but is soon learning that all those stories that are coming out of the ruin are not all real and making that they are far more horrible.
I am halfway through and I really love all that is going on in this book. I love the different thought lines running in the characters and what is going on to them, and reading about them finding more about themselves and their past.
ok here is your teaser:

"Doesn't matter. Point it, people lie a lot. Sometimes out of habit. Not many people are good at telling the truth. But what I meant just now was that nearly everybody who comes back from teh Ruin, lies about what they've seen."
